The fact that I am releasing this at all is still incredibly weird to me so I don't really even know what to say about it.

While the principal recording of these songs took place over the past couple months, a lot of the ideas go back to last year. Even further, I can think back to having the idea of releasing an album or mixtape years ago. I wanted to find a meaningful, sustainable outlet for my loneliness and frustration with both myself and the world. I've never been very good with words, but I tried writing poems and lyrics anyways (they sucked). When I started playing guitar more seriously and writing riffs and sketches, I tried to channel those feelings I had years ago, dulled by time as they were, into something I could say without words.

Maybe I'll try lyrics again down the road, I think I'd really like to but I dunno how to write.

I learned more than I could have ever imagined about building and recording music through working on these tracks, and I'm excited to (hopefully) learn even more through future releases.

I hope my influences don't show too easily, and I hope that you enjoy this little thing I made.
